An internal tool and a product are not the same thing. The gap is documentation, defaults, onboarding and the assumption that the person using it was not in the room when it was built.

Sensible defaults instead of tribal knowledge. Configuration instead of code changes. Failure messages written for someone who did not write the system.

Broadcasters of a similar shape to us: small enough that a large automation contract makes no sense, serious enough that the output has to be reliable.
