Sapphire Reggae is now broadcasting: roots, dub, lovers rock and dancehall, running alongside Pop, DNB and Rave.
The launch itself was quiet, which was the point. Adding a fourth service to the platform meant creating its clock, its rotation categories and its stream endpoints — configuration, not code. The playout, encoding, delivery and monitoring it runs on are the same systems the other three have been using.
That is the return on building the platform properly the first time: the fourth station is cheaper than the second one was.
